PE or Polyethylene Wax is a low molecular weight polyethylene polymer. It is widely used for the improvement and enhancement of the process parameters and properties of the end products, which are widely used in the plastic industry. It has wax-like characteristics and it is prepared by using the distillation process, which enhances the properties of the product and also helps in producing different grades of PE wax.
PE wax has such amazing properties that make it a pre-requisite component in the plastic industry. This wax features a high degree of crystalline and linearity. It helps in enhancing the quality of diverse materials and thus, widely used in plastic additives, rubber processing, petroleum wax blends, and diverse other blends. A good quality PE wax has attributes like oil thickening capability, hardness at elevated temperatures, low solubility in solvents, and others. The two major features of PE wax are:
PE or polyethylene wax is used as an activator and dispersing material for ABS resins, polyethylene, polypropylene, etc. With the addition of the PE wax in hydrocarbon waxes, it increases the melting points to a certain degree. Also, this wax is available in two grades; emulsifiable and non-emulsifiable. Emulsifiable is used as a textile processing chemical in textile finishing, polishes, leather auxiliaries, cosmetics, crayons, etc. Non-emulsifiable is used as lubricants for elastomers and plastics, carriers for pigment concentrates, and others. It is also used in the coating sector and food packaging industry.
Our proprietary manufacturing process yields materials that provide benefits that are unique and quite distinct from other synthetic or petroleum based waxes. The manufacturing process can be controlled to the extent that the molecular weight and molecular weight distribution are consistently achieved.
